Pastor floating in church like Prophet Bushiri.
Many people are wondering if this a repetition of an older feat done by Prophet Bushiri as a picture of a pastor floating high above his congregation is circulating on the media. The pastor was seen floating high and being suspended in the air with his head almost reaching the roof of the church auditorium.
What is the point? Many brethren were wondering and thought the pastor is under some spiritual influence.
Such an incident once took place in South Africa as the General Overseer of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church, Bushiri shared a video of himself walking on air as he descended a staircase. He claimed to have defied the law of nature since his legs were off the ground while climbing down the stairs.
Another incident took place again, a US clergy, Pastor Bartholomew Orr of Brown Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi pulled the same stunt before though in his case, it was a preaching stunt in the full glare of the congregation. Known as the “flying preacher” Pastor Orr has been using the flying equipment for many years for Christmas services.
Most of the people were not convinced as they believe that they are only doing it to make people believe and argued that it does not demonstrate the power of God. In actual fact, many think that this is a demonstration of satanic power since they claim that this show off does not draw people close to God or live a life of righteousness and it is a sign of immaturity.
Although Bushiri and other pastors have proven to have that power, we also have reference scriptures in the bible.
A good example is Elijah whom is said to have been taken up to Heaven in a chariot of fire which lifted him up from the earth and he disappeared.
Moreso, Jesus Christ ascended into heaven being suspended in the air as he bid farewell to his disciples. The Ascension Day celebration is an important event in the Christian calendar. Jesus’s experience is referred to as The Ascent.
However, it is not clear how this pastor and Bushiri had the similar events like Elijah, Jesus and pastor Orr.
