A renowned South African artist Makhadzi, has voiced her frustration over the lack of support from her fellow countrymen. This comes in light of American singer Chris Brown’s upcoming show on December 14-15, which has already sold out.

Makhadzi, who is set to host her one-woman show on December 24 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, took to social media to express her disappointment. She remarked, “South Africa ke (it’s) movie so nna I must take 10 years to sell out Peter Mokaba stadium. Chris Brown lamofa (you are giving him) two hours. Yoo Lenalede tshele (You have serious issues).”

In her post, she further urged her followers to spread positive vibes, saying, “Gale bona batho lena lebo hyper nyana shem (When you see people, just give nice vibes).”

Her sentiments echo the famous biblical verse, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country,” highlighting the challenges local artists face in garnering support from their own communities.
