Mary Twala, who is Somizi’s mother’s final film will be opening in all cinemas across Mzansi very soon. The star revealed the death of his 79 year-old mother in 2020 who died at Netcare’s Parklane Hospital in Johannesburg.
The legend stared in the film before her death, This Is Not A Burial, It’s A Resurrection, and she’s bagged Best Actress Award for her role. When the movie was filmed in the remote mountains of Lesotho, Somizi’s mother had to be carried by crew members.
The late icon’s final film has won a couple of international awards and has also gotten the chance to be screened at international film festivals. The movie shot in the remote mountains of Lesotho was directed by filmmaker Lemohang Jeremiah Moses. The movie has been screened at different international film festivals across the globe and has scooped a couple of international awards.
The film will be out in May according to reports.
