The two kombi operators who forced a police officer into their combi and drove off have been arrested . The incident was filmed when the two were having a dispute with the two police officers.
The operators who are under Zudac tried numerous times to force one of the officers into their car without success. During the discussion one of them finally managed to push the officer into the vehicle and drove off.
The video went viral on social media with others celebrating whilst many others condemned such actions. According to ZRP they finally conducted a man hunt for these two culprits and they will face the wrath of the law.
This is also a lesson to many other commuter bus operators not to take laws into their own hands and challenge authorities
There has been a lot of wars between the police ,vendors and commuter omnibus operators . This is mostly caused by the nature of the informal economy where there is a thin line between moral justice and law application because the formal sector is not doing it’s duty enough to accommodate everyone into these spaces.
