Mary Mubaiwa who had failed to attend court this morning had a warrant of arrest was issued against her. An ambulance believed to be carrying her was seen arriving at the Harare Magistrates’ Court.
Enstranged wife to Vice President Constantine Chiwenga, Mary Mubaiwa, applied for refusal today for further remand stating that it is now 15 months of her attending court with the State failing to complete investigations into her issue in which she is blamed of attempting to kill the Vice President when he was in hospital in South Africa.
She is also being charged of money laundering.

Speaking through lawyer Ms Beatrice Mtetwa, Mubaiwa explained to the court that the State had promised to finish all the investigations a month into her arrest, but has failed.
Ms Mtetwa also explained to the court that the State was aware of the complexity of extra-territorial investigations when they made a one month promise.
She made the application after the State led by Mrs Mushayabasa applied for a postponement of the matter to allow police to finish investigations into the matter.
Mrs Mushayabasa reported to the court that there were extra-territorial investigations that needs to be carried out in South Africa.
She went before regional magistrate Mr Stanford Mambanje.
