The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) has issued an official update regarding the ongoing power supply cuts affecting the national grid. The reduction in electricity generation capacity is attributed to a technical challenge at the Hwange thermal power station’s Unit 8.
The statement was issues on 24 August 2024.
ZESA informed its valued customers that load shedding schedules have been intensified across the country to balance the demand and supply. The technical teams are working diligently to resolve the issue and minimize the impact on consumers.
In the statement Zesa apologize for any inconvenience caused, and assured the public that they are doing everything possible to restore normal power supply.
