Immediately after the news broke of Anele “Nellie“ Tembe’s fatal fall from a Cape Town hotel, social media went into overdrive, analysing her unexpected death.
The rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes and the now deceased 22 year-old Nelli Tembe had just gotten engaged. The couple had been dating for just over a year.
They had gone to Cape Town for a gig that he was headlining and had been seen at the Waterfront earlier that day, shopping for clothes for their traditional wedding ceremony.
Fans and celebs loaded the Forbes and the Tembe family’s inboxes with condolences messages.
