Last year’s South African Idols finalist, Brandon Dhludhlu has officially confirmed that he and SA Idols winner Zama Khumalo are officially an item.
Prior to last year’s finale, speculations were ripe and that the pair were more than just friends. The rumours came after his elimination for the ultimate price occured.
In an emotional speech he encouraged his fans to vote for Zama that’s when speculations became rife that the two were an item but neither one agreed to it.
Recently Brandon has divulged and confirmed that the rumours are indeed true.
“We are dating and we started dating in theatre a week before the show even started playing on TV.
“It’s been months now but people will think we started to date just now. However, it was so scary to be in the competition with her.
” I was so scared of her because she was one of the strongest contestants in season 16, but I love her. So we spoke about the fact that it’s a competition and we are not going to let it get in the way of our relationship,”he said.
Last year’s SA Idols winner saw her walking away with amazing prices that included a million Rand cash price, Samsung products valued at R150 000 as well as the new Toyota Starlet 1.4. XR Manual.
On top of that she also inked a a recording deal with Oskido’s independent stable KalawaKalawa Jazmee.
The top 10 contestants ZanoThando, Succedor, Mr Music, Zama, Ntokozo, Bongi, Jooma and Ndoni reunited on stage during the grand finale for a spectacular rendition of Paloma Faith’s Warrior. The finale received over 29 million votes setting an all time record.
