In past interviews, Thabethe revealed that she’s always had a passion for modelling, however, her short height has always limited her. Her earlier years were in modelling and were followed by high profile gigs with Legit, BET Africa and who can forget Top Billing? The beauty has also had short-acting gigs in Generations: The Legacy and Rockville.

From the very beginning, it’s always been clear that Ayanda is a woman with a vision. Chatting to Afternoon express over a year ago, she revealed that she wants to further her studies. She currently holds an honours degree in marketing.

“My mom never got to study what she wanted, she became a nurse by default because it was free. She always said that she wanted us to do careers that we love and her gave to us was education. I studied up to honours level – I have an honours degree in marketing and I want to continue studying because I feel like it’s so important for the girl child to study,” said the star on her future plans.
